Founded in 2013 by Pei-Ching Hsiao, Taiwan-Lantern is an Amsterdam-based studio dedicated to reviving Taiwan's rich traditions and craftsmanship. Working with Taiwan's last traditional lantern factory and local artisans, the studio modernizes lantern design while honoring age-old techniques like ceramics, plant-based fabric dyeing, woodworking, and bamboo crafting.

Committed to sustainability, Taiwan-Lantern uses almost only locally sourced natural materials, including walnut wood and Makino bamboo. Each lantern reflects Taiwan's cultural heritage and craftsmanship, blending tradition with a sustainable, modern touch.
