Niels Otto Møller (1920-1982) was one of the most influential furniture craftsmen of his era. His contributions to Danish design have left an enduring legacy, with his high-quality, timeless dining chairs continuing to be produced long after his passing.

Educated as a cabinetmaker, Møller was not only a gifted designer but also a skilled manufacturer, leading advancements in modernizing furniture production. He built his own factory near his hometown of Aarhus, Denmark, where, for over four decades, he designed and crafted an iconic collection of dining furniture. His chairs, in particular, became renowned worldwide, earning both international recognition and acclaim.

Møller’s unwavering dedication to exceptional craftsmanship and his timeless designs have solidified J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik’s reputation as a leader in Danish furniture. Today, his chairs remain a symbol of the global success of Danish design, still produced in the very factory he founded.
