Chaïm Soutine - Le Groom

As a painter, Soutine followed his own path. While many of his contemporaries were drawn to avant-garde movements such as Cubism, Dadaism, and Fauvism, he remained relatively unimpressed by these branches of modernism. Instead, he developed his own distinctive, highly intense style, characterized by expressive and uniquely powerful paintings.
