Cora Table

Cora table designed by Ann Demeulemeester for Serax. The essence of the Cora table is found in its offset angles. Flat planks of beech wood are arranged at 90 degrees to create the legs – when light hits these planes, they cast shadows that create the illusion of additional lines within the composition. This arrangement also shapes the tabletop, a rectangle with corners cut out to accommodate the legs, producing an exaggerated cross similar to forms found in ancient architecture.
