Pigreco Chair

The Pigreco Armchair is a poetic work by Tobia Scarpa. The dining chair, which is Scarpia's first work, was designed in 1959 and is today produced by Tacchini. Pigreco exudes a harmony between straight and curved lines, and shapes are created through materiality and emptiness to give a sense of space to an otherwise static object. The different forms contribute to both dynamism, strength, and lightness.

Frame in plywood and walnut or ash. Padding in polyurethane foam in different densities. Upholstered seat in fabric or leather.
