Madame Lounge Chair was designed in 1951 by architects Nanna Ditzel and her husband Jørgen Ditzel. Their experimental approach to materials resulted in a chair shaped like a shell. With its soft and feminine shapes, the name became Madame. The outdoor version of the comfortable armchair is handmade by skilled wicker workers in the weatherproof materials aluminum and artificial rattan, which means that the outdoor furniture can withstand being out throughout the year and requires minimal maintenance. Each piece of furniture is hand-painted with great expertise to create the beautiful, natural details of the cane.
