On a walk through Barcelona in the 1960s, designer Miguel Milá found an abandoned opal globe in front of a glass factory. He picked it up and over the years it became the heart of a series of lamps with a beautiful construction made of cherry wood that holds a beautiful and delicate opal ball.
Cestita Batería is a smaller, cordless version of the iconic Cesta. The shape of the lamp is inspired by the traditional lanterns that light up the houses along the Spanish coast, the countryside, and terraces. The production is a genuine craft where the wood is formed by traditional steam bending techniques.
