Introducing GRIM Capsule for Artilleriet.
Sculptor Angelica Grimborg, known under the moniker GRIM, brings her poetic and often surreal vision to life in a limited collection of pewter objects for Artilleriet. Following a period of working in dreamy, ephemeral plaster, Grimborg returns to the dense tactility of pewter, a medium she describes as "bizarre, weighty, and uncompromising." Grimborg draws inspiration from the world around her: how light strikes a façade, or the curious shape of a shadow. Each object reflects this constant hunt for wonder, a synthesis of architectural observation and material experimentation.
Now available exclusively through Artilleriet.

Cast in pewter
Created between her two home studios, one in the heart of Södermalm, Stockholm, and the other on the island of Adelsö, her works are first cast in clay, then transformed into sculptural objects in pewter that feel both ancient and otherworldly. The process of casting pewter is a time-honored craft that combines precision, skill, and artistry. Pewter, a soft and malleable metal alloy, is first melted at a relatively low temperature, allowing for intricate detailing without the need for extreme heat. Once liquefied, the pewter is carefully poured into the molds. The result is a piece that carries both material weight and artisanal character, with a subtle elegance unique to cast pewter.
