The sculptor and artisan Carl Elmberg (1889–1955) worked under the tutelage of sculptor Carl Milles in Germany and Italy after completing his studies, before starting his independent career. Elmberg's body of work includes portrait busts, reliefs, and public decorations. For Näfveqvarns, he designed several cast iron objects, such as the Tobaksbruk and Diana Lantern, which he co-designed with architect Martin Westberg.
